Minister vows support for genuine efforts of contractors

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth has pledged no government intervention in the genuine efforts of contractors.

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth has pledged no government intervention in the genuine efforts of contractors. 


In his address to a morning rally organised by the Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal (FCAN) marking the 11th National Building Day today, he called on people concerned to gear up for nation building with full energy. "Contractors and government both sides may have weaknesses in the past, but no there remains no alternative to moving ahead by making corrections."

A process had begun for extending deadline for projects remained incomplete due to varies reasons since 2052 BS. 


FCAN president Rabi Singh claimed the incumbent contractors' leadership was working to establish the contract business as a distinguished profession, seeking construction-friendly atmosphere at home. 

The FCAN organised a blood donation programme at its secretariat office today on the same occasion.
