Minister Thapa calls for cooperation to fight against human trafficking

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Tham Maya Thapa, today expressed worries about human trafficking becoming as a medium of earning money. 

She also stressed the need for cooperation and coordination among all three governments to curb human trafficking and various crimes posed as a challenge to building a civic society.

She also called for making rehabilitation effective for those trapped in trafficking. The minister was speaking at a programme organised here on the occasion of the 12th National Day against Human Trafficking. 

Likewise, Chief of Province 3 Anuradha Koirala underscored the need for coordination among government bodies, national and international organisations and civil society against human trafficking. 

Also, the Ministry Secretary Buddhi Bahadur Khadka said laws, acts and policies against human trafficking are being implemented effectively. RSS
