KAILALI, Jan 3: Police have arrested Bobby Sodari, 23, son of Minister for Physical Infrastructure of Sudurpaschim Province and CPN (Unified Socialist) Provincial Assembly member Dirga Sodari on Sunday evening. 

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bed Prakash Joshi at the District Police Office, Kailali, Bobby was arrested in connection with an accident on December 17 where he allegedly hit a 97-year-old Durga Devi Neupane while driving. Neupane was hit when she was walking at the roadside in Tikapur. 

Although an agreement was reached to bear the treatment cost, Bobby had remained out of contact from the police after the women passed away in the course of treatment on December 26. Police have taken Bobby in custody and a case of accident has been filed against him. Kailali District Court has remanded him for  seven days for further investigation.
