Minister Karki promises to solve problem of Koshi by making a long-term plan

INARUWA, August 21: Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, spokesperson for Nepal government and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has said that the problem of Koshi will be solved by making a long-term plan.

INARUWA, August 21: Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, spokesperson for Nepal government and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has said that the problem of Koshi will be solved by making a long-term plan.


Karki said this while visiting Koshi victims in Sri Lanka Island located in Barahakshetra-6 and 9 of Sunsari.

Minister Karki said that the government has declared the area damaged by Koshi erosion as a risky area and is trying to make a plan to solve the problems of the permanent residents.


He said that since the local people are facing various problems from the Saptakoshi River every year, the government will make a plan to solve it in the long term.


Minister Karki mentioned that the Saptakoshi River creates havoc during the annual rains and also causes erosion and hundreds of local residents are suffering from it, so the current government is trying to solve it by making a long-term plan.
