Minister Gauchan leaves for Rome

KATHMANDU, Oct 2: Minister for Commerce, Romi Gauchan Thakali, on Saturday left for Rome, the capital of Italy, to take part in the 'Fourth Ministerial Meeting of Agricultural Commodity Markets and Prices' at the invitation of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Director General, Jose Graziano da Silva. 

In the meeting to be held on October 3, Minister Gauchan will present Nepal's views on food security problems faced by Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and the effects on economy and trade from the fluctuation in the agro products' prices. 

The Minister is also expected to hold discussions with other ministers and high officials participating in the meeting with an aim to promote the trade of agricultural products among the member states. RSS
