KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Urban Development Minister Metmani Chaudhary has transferred three senior officials of the ministry including Joint Secretary even as the formation of new government is currently underway.

According to sources, Padam Mainali has been transferred from the Urban Development Division under the Ministry to the Building Technology and Research Center under theDepartment of Urban Development Building Construction.

Similarly, Ram Chandra Dangal, who is working in the Planning Division under the Ministry, has been transferred to the Urban Development Division. Dilip Bhandari, currently working in the Building Technology and Research Center, has been transferred to the Planning Division under the Ministry. According to ministry sources, three senior employees have been transferred at the request of Minister Chaudhary.

A few days ago, Suresh Acharya was transferred as the Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development. According to the sources, Secretary Acharya did not want to transfer the senior employees, but with the insistence of Minister Chaudhary, the three senior officials were transferred.
