KATHMANDU, July 4: Spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Gokul Prasad Baskota on Thursday said that the Chand-led group will bear the brunt of the consequences if it refuses to sit for peaceful dialogue with the government.
Speaking at a press conference in the capital, Minister Banskota accused the Chand-led group of carrying out 'terrorist activities' in an organized manner.
"The group has been running extortion drive across the country. So, the government is determined to take stern action against such activities," he said.
He claimed that the Chand-led outfit is turning a blind eye to the government's offer to solve the problem through dialogue.
"We are seeking to resolve the issue through peaceful dialogue. The group will have to bear the brunt of the consequences if it remains adamant on its demands," said Baskota.
