Men smearing soot on Lokman slapped one month's jail

KATHMANDU, Jan 9: The Supreme Court on Monday slapped one month's jail term each to the persons who had smeared soot on Lokman Singh Karki, while he had come to the SC to serve his date. 

A division bench of Justices Dr Anand Mohan Bhattarai and Anil Kumar Sinha issued the order that Prakash Shahi and Chandra Bahadur Budha be sentenced to one month in prison for smearing soot on Karki's face at SC premises on December 22. 

Both of them were held by the police after the incident. A case of contempt of court had been filed against the duo. RSS
