KATHMANDU, Feb 23: The government is going to honor the members of the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2 ODI triangular series winning Nepali cricket team with Rs 200,000 each.
During a meeting with the members of the Nepali national cricket team at his official residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that all the Nepali cricketers who won the recently concluded triangular series with Namibia and Scotland will be given Rs 200,000 each as an incentive.
In the triangular series held at Tribhuvan University's playground in Kirtipur, Nepal won all 4 games and clean-swept the series. Nepal had a clean sweep for the first time in the triangular series of League-2. Nepal has won the series against Namibia and Scotland by 2-2 matches. Similarly, it is the first time that Nepal won four consecutive matches.

Nepal defeated Namibia by 2 and 3 wickets and Scotland by 3 and 2 wickets in the series while Scotland defeated Namibia by 10 wickets and 43 runs.
The Nepali national cricket team is going to the UAE for the triangular series to be held in the UAE next week as part of ICC World Cup Cricket League-2. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) today announced the names of the team members who will tour the UAE. Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is not included in the team. The Nepali team will play against the domestic team and Papua New Guinea in the UAE.
Nepal will begin their UAE tour on February 27 against Papua New Guinea. On March 2, there will be a match between Nepal and the home team. Nepal, who will play the third match against Papua New Guinea on March 3 will play the home team UAE on March 6 in the last match of the UAE tour.
The Nepali team for the UAE tour includes Rohit Kumar Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, Ashif Sheikh, Gyanendra Malla, Kushal Malal, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Jora, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Lalit Rajbanshi, Gulshan Jha, Bhim Sarki, Pratish GC and Shyam Dhakal.
