Tek Bahadur Some, 51, was killed by son Bishnu, 21, with help of his wife Roma Kumari and Bishnu´s wife in retaliation of the regular thrashing of Roma Kumari by the deceased.
The trio then hanged the body from a tree to make it look like a suicide but the locals smelt a rat after seeing injuries in eyes and head when the shroud was removed before cremation.
The trio was arrested on Tuesday after daughters of the deceased lodged a complaint with the police four days after the murder.
“The son has admitted that he killed his father by hitting him with fist and stick. The wife and daughter-in-law were also at home that night and have been found to be accomplices,” Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pawan Kumar Giri said.
