KATHMANDU, August 30: A meeting between members of the ruling coalition government is currently underway at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. Sources said the meeting is focused on finalizing the allocation of ministries to coalition partners and giving full shape to the cabinet that has only six members even a month after the formation of a new government.
A meeting was held earlier on Sunday between the top leaders of Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) to expand the cabinet.
According to a source, Prime Minister and NC Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav and Federal Council Chairman of JSP Baburam Bhattarai are among those present in the meeting today.
