KATHMANDU, Dec 19: A meeting of the three major parties has started at the office of Speaker Onsari Gharti at Singha Durbar on Monday.

The top leaders of three major parties are participating in the meeting in a bid to end the current impasse.

The Speaker had called a meeting of the three major parties on Monday morning to end the obstruction of the House. Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bhahadur Deuba, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam, and Chief Whip Bhanubhakta Dhakal are present in the meeting which is underway at the Speaker’s office.

Eight opposition parties including the main Opposition CPN-UML have been obstructing the House after the government registered the constitution amendment bill in Parliament.
