BHADRAPUR, Nov 26: Around 80 per cent of the construction works of the Kisne Stream Embankment Irrigation Scheme based in Gauradaha VDC of Jhapa is almost over.
The scheme which comes under the Medium Irrigation Project has the target to provide irrigation service to 1,422 Bighas paddy field of wards 3,4,5,8 and 9 of Gauradaha VDC, shared Chief of Irrigation Development Division Office, Bhadrapur, Iswori Tiwari.
The length of Kisne Stream Main Canal will be 7.25 kms. Over 970 household will be benefitted from the scheme.
The Kankai International Builders Pvt Ltd, Surunga had won the contract for the construction of the canal at Rs 112.38 million. The irrigation project is aimed to increase production and productivity in Jhapa district. RSS
