KATHMANDU, July 26: Medical students are staging a demonstration at TU Teaching Hospital in support of Dr. Govinda KC on Thursday. 

A huge number of students in white apparel have gathered at TUTH and are trying to advance toward Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar. 

They are staging a demonstration to pile pressure on the government to address the demands raised by Dr Govinda KC. The talks between the respresentatives of Dr KC and the government team held at the Ministry of Education ended inconclusively yesterday. 

KC has been on a fast-unto-death for the last 27 days demanding reforms in  the medical education sector. This is his 15th hunger strike.

Meanwhile, a large number of security personnel have been deployed in the demonstration site and are preventing agitators from moving toward Baluwatar direction.
