MCC thrashes Nepal by 113 runs

KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Visiting Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has thrashed Nepali cricket team by a huge run margin of 113 runs in a T20 cricket match played at Tribhuwan University cricket ground on Saturday.

After winning toss, MCC opted to bat first and posted a huge target of 190 runs. Billy Goldman hit a half-century for MCC followed by 42 runs from Ed Young. Goldman scored 54 runs off 30.

Chasing the target, Nepal managed to score only 76 runs losing all the wickets in 13.1 overs. Rashid Khan with 18 runs was the highest scorer for Nepal while Sandeep Jora, Kushal Bhurtel and Bhim Sarki added 16, 14 and 13 runs to their side respectively.

MCC is in Nepal for its 'legacy tour' which consists of one three-day game, two 50-over matches and three T20s games. It will now travel to Pokhara for two-T20 matches.
