Mayor Sampang announces to give one month's salary to Sharmila, whose cart and goods were thrown away by KMC

KATHMANDU, Oct 15: Harka Sampang, mayor of Dharan sub-metropolitan city, has announced to give one month's salary to Sharmila Tamang, who went viral on social media after the city police of Kathmandu Metropolitan City took away her cart.

After the photo and video of Sharmila holding a cart and crying went viral, Mayor Sampang shared her photo on Facebook and wrote, “Who is this sister? I announce to send her my one month's salary. Long live human.”

KMC in its drive to clear streets and roadside areas, KMC city police threw away the goods of Sharmila's cart from Thapathali and took the cart away.
