KATHMANDU, July 26: There will be a six-hour power outage today in the Matatirtha area of Kathmandu.
According to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), the power cut will occur from 10 AM to 4 PM in the areas served by the Matatirtha feeder of the Balambu Subsidiary Distribution Center.

The NEA has announced that the outage is necessary for maintenance work on the high-tension poles. The areas that will experience power outage will include Mahadevsthan, Itakhel, Ghumaune, Godam, Mangladoya, Nagdhunga, Chisapani, Basundole, Indrathan, Jhangajhiti, Kukhurechaur, Maheshpath, and other nearby places.
If the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule, electricity services will be restored earlier than planned, according to the NEA.
