KATHMANDU,   Dec 3: Samir Man Singh Basnet, main murder plotter of Sarad Kumar Gauchan was made public by the Central Investigation Bureau today.

Basnet was arrested from Chitwan yesterday, DIG Puskar Karki said adding that he was also involved in murder attempt of Durga Tiwari and Dawa Lama.

In a statement, Basnet said that Gauchan was killed after he refused extortion of money and shares. Basnet had asked two per cent commission from Postal Higway contract. The statement further shared that while Basnet had invested 10 million rupees in the contracting company, Gauchan had refused to provide complimenting share.

Police has already arrested seven people involved in Gauchan's shootout. While a team led by DIG Ganesh KC had said that Basnet was in hide out in India, CIB claimed that it had arrested the mastermind from Chitwan.
