BIRENDRANAGAR, Sept 28 : A massive fire broke out on Sunday afternoon at New Processing Cotton Industry, located near the bus park in Birendranagar-10, Surkhet.



Preliminary reports suggest the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. Police immediately reached the scene, and efforts to contain the blaze were underway with the support of Birendranagar Municipality’s fire engines.

The industry is owned by Prem Bahadur Khadka of Airnachowk. According to the Surkhet District Police Office, the extent of the financial damage is yet to be assessed.
