LAMJUNG, Aug 4: The Marsyangdi River has swept two boys away while the latter were swimming there near the dam of Marsyangdi Hydropower Project in Bensisahar-1 in Lamjung district on Saturday.
Yogendra Rimal, 14, and Ajit Thapa, 15, of the municipality are still missing in the river. Police Inspector Basanta Pandey said that the security personnel have continued the search for the missing boys.
Likewise, Pratik Rimal, one of the three boys swimming in the river, was rescued with efforts from the locals and security personnel.
A large number of people throng the lake of the hydropower dam and Gaikhure Falls located in Bensisahara-1 for bath and swimming on Saturday.
Police said that the strong current of the river and murky water has created difficulties to find those missing boys. RSS
