Marshmello issued an apology to his fans through his official Twitter and Instagram profiles.
Nepal. I'm so sorry for not being able to appear for my performance last night at Deja Vu ktm. I was sick with an awful fever, & although I tried to come, the doctor ordered against it. Health first. I love you Nepal Mellogang, thank you for understanding & hope to see you soon.
According to a video statement provided today at 11:45 am by Ritesh Marwadi, Marketing Director of 61 Live Pvt. Ltd., Marshmello was unable to perform at the event last night as he was diagnosed with food poisoning.

Dr. Sanjay Bhattachan was consulted who then prescribed antibiotics and advised Marshmello to rest, according to the video.
The representative from Marshmello’s team also expressed his disappointment on the cancellation of the event stating, “We’ve never missed a show and this is the last thing we would want.” He also disclosed that the event may be rescheduled in February in the same video provided to us.
