Maradona to Make Debut as Head Coach in Mexican Soccer

MEXICO, Sep 8: Diego Armando Maradona, the new head coach or technical director of the Mexican soccer team Dorados de Sinaloa, on the level of promotion (Ascenso) of the Mexican League, will debut on September 15 when the Dorados of Sinaloa meets Tapachula Catefaleros, it was reported today.

The match is included in the 9th day of the local tournament, in which Dorados is not playing too well, since it has three defeats, with three draws.

The world champion with Argentina in 1986, in the World Cup held in Mexico City, will be presented in his new club this weekend.

Matias Morla, the lawyer of the Argentine former soccer star, thanked on Twitter 'the president of Dorados for the effort and work done so that Diego Maradona has this new opportunity to do what he likes most: to head coach a football team.' 

He also noted that Maradona will remain honorary president of Dinamo Brest, which plays in the Premier League, of Belarus.

A new sporting challenge awaits him and Diego is happy to be able to head coach once again,' said the legal representative of the new head coach of Dorados de Sinaloa.
