KATHMANDU, July 26: The UCPN (Maoist) has called a meeting of 25 political parties at Singha Darbar Monday morning to garner support on issues raised by them while disrupting the parliamentary proceedings.

The Maoist lawmakers disrupted the House meetings on Sunday demanding that Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal himself at the parliament to clarify the government’s plan to import weapons from India.

The Maoist party has also demanded an investigation into the murder of its sister organization Young Communist League’s central member Laxman Raya Yadav in Rautahat on Saturday.

The party has also demanded relief packages for the relatives of those who died of cholera in Jajarkot and the surrounding districts.

According to Maoist spokesperson Dinanth Sharma, the party will seek consensus on their political issues during the all-party meeting.
