KATHMANDU, August 14: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has proposed holding the party's national convention from December 26 to 28 in Kathmandu.
Chairman Dahal proposed the date for the national convention of the party during the party's central committee meeting that kicked off on Saturday, according to the party's spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha. Chairman Dahal proposed the date while proposing the agenda for the meeting.
Party leaders said Chairman Dahal is scheduled to present the party's political papers and put forth proposals to bring amendments to the party's statute and hold discussions on those proposals. A group-wise discussion on the paper is scheduled for 11AM Sunday.
