The closed session, which is portrayed as a convention of ideas, will have a total of 1,631 delegates and observers. When all the clusters are combined, that number is said to have increased even more. Representatives from all seven provinces and three geographical regions are participating in the session. There is a program to discuss the political report of Chairperson Dahal in the closed session.
A meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) Central Committee held Sunday morning decided to elect a 299-member central committee with 15 office bearers. Although the closed session will be held in the hall in Kamaladi, the management has been challenged as there are more representatives than the capacity of the Nepal Academy Hall.
According to Secretary at the CPN (Maoist Center) Central Office, Shri Ram Dhakal, there was an agenda to select a new leadership after the endorsement of the political report and the party's statute. The Maoist Center, which had initially announced plans to organize the national conference, had later turned it into a general convention on Saturday.
A meeting of the Central Committee held yesterday morning had approved the decision of the Standing Committee on Saturday. Stating that it will raise socialism with Nepali originality, the Maoists have mentioned that necessary preparations have been made to make the closed session systematic and successful.
