KATHMANDU, August 21: Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he was shocked by the death of Nepali Congress leader and socialist thinker Pradip Giri.
Issuing a condolence statement this morning, Chairman Dahal paid tributes to the senior socialist thinker and NC leader Giri while describing him as an intellectual personality of Nepali politics. Dahal also extended condolences to the bereaved families.

On Saturday, Chairman Dahal visited the Mediciti hospital in Lalitpur to inquire about his health condition. Leader Giri passed away the same night.
