Mandala Theatre is gearing up for ‘Charandas Chor’

Mandala Theatre-Nepal in collaboration with Narayani Kala Mandir is currently working in the production of the play ‘Charandas Chor’.

Mandala Theatre-Nepal in collaboration with Narayani Kala Mandir is currently working in the production of the play ‘Charandas Chor’. The play is a product of one month theatre acting training, which was facilitated by Actor/director Bikash Joshi. Bikash Joshi was joined by Bijay Baral and Som Nath Khanal from Mandala Theatre in Chitwan as guest facilitators.  According to a press statement, issued by Mandala Theater on Wednesday, Karmi Theatre is another partner for the production.

‘Charandas Chor’ is a famous play by Habib Tanvir, which itself was an adaptation of a classical Rajasthani folktale by Vijaydan Detha. The play is directed by one of the Mandala Theatre Members and a well known actor/director, Bikash Joshi. Joshi is known for directorial skills in several plays including ‘Aarop’, ‘Sakeko Tiraula Natra Firima’, and ‘Swapnil Swapna Nagari’. 


The play will be premiered at Narayani Kala Mandir, Chitwan on Thrusday and the regular show will be performed in January.
