DHANGADHI, Nov 17: A man reportedly died following a fight at Uttarbehadi of Dhangadhi sub metropolis-4.
The ward police office has confirmed the death of Bijay Thapa of around 32 years of age in the incident took place on the premises of local Kalash Hotel last night. Following the incident, Thapa was taken to the Seti Zonal Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, the office said. He had sustained a head injury and was bleeding from his nose when the police rescued him before taking to the hospital.
Police have arrested local Asis Sethi, 27, on the charge of beating the victim to death. Dipendra Chaudhary, son of the hotel proprietor heard the unusual sound from outside at around 9:00 pm and saw accused Sethi, dragging injured Thapa. The accused also faces a case against drugs abuse. Further investigations into it are underway.
