GULMI, June 14: A man has died of the coronavirus infection in Gulmi district.
A 36 years old man from Dhurkot Rural Municipality-4 breathed his last on Saturday night, according to Chief District Officer Bharat Kumar Sharma.
The man had returned from India and was staying at a quarantine facility in Dhurkot. After testing positive for COVID-19 through the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, he was undergoing treatment at the Tamghas-based isolation center.
He also had intestinal cancer, it is learnt.
“A team of Nepal Army cremated the dead body,” said CDO Sharma.
With this, Nepal has reported 19 cases of fatality due to COVID-19 so far.
