KATHMANDU, Dec 13: An Armed Police Force (APF) team deployed from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Highway Security Post in Adamghat has arrested a man with about 50 kg of hashish. The APF team arrested Deepak Magar, 34, of Galchi Rural Municipality-8 in Dhading district Saturday night.


The APF team deployed from the post under the command of APF Inspector Ganesh Khadka arrested him from the East-West Highway at Khayarghari, Thake Rural Municipality-1 of Dhading district acting on a tip-off that a huge amount of hashish was being smuggled. He was found travelling in his motorcycle carrying hashish in three separate bags.

The APF team also recovered the motorcycle he used to smuggle the hashish. The APF team had arrested Magar on his way to Khayarghari from Galchhi at around 8.30 PM.


The arrested Magar has been handed over to Gajuri Area Police Office for necessary legal action. He confessed that he was bringing the hashish from Goganpani in Dhading district to Kathmandu.
