Inspector Ganga Prasad Paudel of the APO informed Republica that Bhima was murdered on February 10.
A complaint filed at the APO has mentioned Khatri, an acquaintance of Pariyar, of insisting her to go for a drink in a local hotel when she was on a visit to her brother's house.
Later, he allegedly murdered her in the nearby Latikhola River. According to Inspector Paudel, preliminary investigation shows that they had a dispute on the way after which Khatri killed Pariyar by squeezing her throat.
He said that Khatri while recording his statement has admitted to killing Pariyar by tying her neck with her own shawl. The dead body of the deceased was recovered from the river the next day.
Since her husband Gopal committed suicide in April, Bhima had been raising her four children all alone. Her young children are helpless after her death of the mother, according to the neighbors.
