KALIKOT, April 7: Tularam Malla has won the chairmanship of CPN-UML district committee. He won the election held on Saturday after a lack of consensus in the district session of the party that started on April 3.
In the election, Malla surpassed Dayaram Simkhada by 32 votes. Out of the 428 delegates present in the convention, Malla garnered 218 votes while Simkhada received 186 votes, with 424 votes being cast in total.

Likewise, Tek Bahadur Budha of Malla’s panel has won the vice-chairman position with 210 votes, and Pushparaj Acharya has won the secretary position with 212 votes.
Pabitrakumar Shahi and Tarakumari Shahi emerged victorious as the undersecretaries from the male and female categories, respectively. Following the election results, Malla expressed his commitment to moving forward in alignment with the sentiments of everyone.
