Malla leads ANNFSU elections

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Kishor Malla is leading the vote count in the election for the president in the All Nepal National Free Students ´Union so far. The vote counting is underway at the CPN-UML headquarters at Balkhu.



Malla has scored 74 votes whereas his opponent Laxman Lamsal scored 42 votes so far. There are six contenders for the post of Vice President. Among them, Bacchan Singh has 49 votes, CP Gharti 38, Saroj Yadav 33, Thomas Bastola 28, Dipak Gautam 34 and Dhruba Rai is at 25. [break]



Similarly, Navina Lama and Rachana Khadka are vying for the post of General Secretary. Navina has 52 votes while Rachana has 68.



The ANNFSU´s general convention is to elect the 135-member central body along with three vice-chairpersons, five secretaries and one treasurer.
