Malaysian delegation calls on PM Dahal

KATHMANDU, April 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday said the government was working day and night to fulfill the aspirations of the people for development and prosperity. 

Prime Minister Dahal made this remark during a meeting with a delegation of Malaysian former administrators and businesspersons, who today met with him at the former's official residence in Baluwatar. 

"Good investment commitments have been made at the Nepal Investment Summit-2017 held in Nepal recently. We want to bring in as much as investment after amending unfavourable laws related to investment. Now economic growth rate has increased and there are signs of prosperity and development lately," said PM Dahal. 

Being aware of various predicaments facing Nepali migrants in Malaysia and the incident wherein aspiring Nepalis are forced to pay higher than the set amount to go to Malaysia under different pretexts, the government was taking diplomatic initiatives to address such problems of the migrants, PM Dahal is said to have briefed the delegation. 

PM Dahal said Nepal would take lessons from economic development of Malaysia during a short span of time. 

Noting that achievements like development and increment in economic growth had been made during his premiership of Dahal, former secretary of Home Ministry of Malaysia Tanshree Ase stressed the need for cooperation between Nepal and Malaysia for development and prosperity. 

On the occasion, President of the Nepal-Malaysia Business Council Pradip Dato apprised PM Dahal of the business Nepalis are running in Malaysia. RSS
