MAKAWANPUR, Aug 24: The district administration in Makawanpur has extended the prohibitory orders for another week owing to a surge in cases of coronavirus in recent days.
A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (DCCMC) held in Hetauda took a decision to this effect on Monday.
Prohibitory orders must be eased but scientifically: Experts
With the decision, prohibitory orders will continue in Hetauda, the headquarters of Bagmati Province, and its surrounding areas, until August 31, according to a press release issued by Chief District Officer Deepak Raj Nepal.
The ongoing prohibitory orders will expire Tuesday midnight.
Four people have succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease in the district while 309 have been diagnosed with the viral disease as of today, according to officials.
