Mahesh Thapa's 'Marichika' released

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli unveiled book 'Marichika' written by author Mahesh Thapa amidst a program organized at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Friday.

Speaking at the program, PM Oli lauded author Thapa for his intense and continuous contribution in the Nepali literature.

"Author Thapa has become a source of inspiration to many people. His writing resembles the veracity of human emotions and our society, physically wellbeing can learn from him and much aid in nation-building, "said PM Oli.

The member of Nepal Academy and litterateur Maya Thakuri praising Thapa's writings said that his writing level is incomparable to any other writer in Nepal.  

Meanwhile, journalist and writer Abhaya Shrestha also commended that he was amazed about Thapa's skills in writing and the stories are different from the conventional Nepali stories.  The Guest poet and Writer Dr.Saroj Dhital appreciated author Thapa in his congratulation speech. Concurrently, the Program host and TV journalist Rupesh Shresth has done interaction between Dr. Saroj Dhital and Poet Abhaya Shresth on some portion of the stories.

Thapa has been suffering from motor neuron disease from the past 16 years. He writes with right hand by using a mouse with the help of onscreen keyboard. Thapa has established himself as satiric writer in Nepal. His Autobiography 'Alpbiram' and satirical collection 'Namonamah' are his creations.

At the Program Thapa's wife delivered his written speech on behalf of him. The book 'Marichika' was published by Shangrila Publication.
