BAITADI, Sept 14:  Vehicular movement along the Mahakali Highway and the Dasharath Chand Highway in the Sudurpaschim Province that was obstructed due to landslides at several places resumed from early morning today.


The security bodies and stakeholders cleared the road obstructions at Gurukhola in Dasharath Chand Municipality-1 along the Dasharath Chand Highway, resuming vehicular movement. 


Likewise, landslides at Salnela and Sillek in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality, Baitadi, were also cleared along the Mahakali Highway, Police Inspector Balaram Pandey said.

Normal life in the districts of the Sudurpaschim Province has been affected due to the torrential rain taking place for the past three days.


The Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast rains until this evening. 


Meanwhile, the District Administration Office, Baitadi has urged the local people there to apply precautions in the wake of the continuous rainfall.
