Chief Minister of Madhesh Province takes charge of finance ministry

KATHMANDU, Jan 29: Chief Minister of Madhes Province Sanjay Yadav on Sunday took charge of the Ministry of Finance of the provincial government.

As his first task, he signed the files related to the upcoming action plan to increase the revenue collection of the province. The action plan also has provisions to reduce the current expenditure and increase the capital expenditure in line with the budget announcement.

Chief Minister Yadav took oath of office on January 13.

Another minister in the provincial government is Basant Kushwaha of the Janamat Party, who has been assigned the portfolio of the Ministry of Land Management and Cooperatives.
