Madhesh Govt increases salary and benefits of Chief Minister, Province Ministers

JANAKPURDHAM, August 25: Madhesh Province government has increased the salary and benefits of chief minister, ministers and province assembly members. New salary-scale was published in the province gazette on August 21 as per the cabinet decision held on August 8.

JANAKPURDHAM, August 25: Madhesh Province government has increased the salary and benefits of chief minister, ministers and province assembly members. New salary-scale was published in the province gazette on August 21 as per the cabinet decision held on August 8. 


Salary of chief minister, ministers, officials of province assembly, province assembly members, vice-chair and members of province policy commission has been increased by Rs 2,000 each. Now, the salary of the chief minister of Madhesh Province is Rs 62,960 per month. Additionally, the fuel allowance being provided to chief ministers, ministers, and provincial assembly members has also been increased. 


With this, the chief minister will now get 300 liter of fuel per month for each vehicle while it was 300 liters of petroleum products in total per month earlier. Secretary at the Office of the Chief Minister, Shivanath Poudel, said slight changes have been made in salary and perks and facilities keeping in view of market inflation.
