KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Chief minister of Bagmati Province and CPN-UML Vice-Chairperson Asta Laxmi Shakya has said that the path taken by Madhav Kumar Nepal is not right. Addressing a Kathmandu district level meeting of CPN-UML leaders and cadres on Thursday, Vice-Chairperson Shakya said that the country needs ‘unified strong politics’ at the moment rather than fractured politics.
“I say, the path taken by Madhav Nepal is not right. At the moment, we need strong politics of unity, not broken politics,” she said, adding, “Madhav Nepal is a leader of all of us. It would not be right to say that he has done right by creating a new group by abandoning the party he gave his life to.”

Leader Shakya also urged Madhav Nepal to return to the CPN-UML as it was a party born out of hard work.
