Lumbini Province ministers assigned responsibility

BUTWAL, Aug 2: The ministerial  responsibilities have been distributed among the eight ministers without portfolio in Lumbini Province. They received their share of responsibilities 10 days after being appointed as ministers without portfolio.

BUTWAL, Aug 2: The ministerial  responsibilities have been distributed among the eight ministers without portfolio in Lumbini Province. They received their share of responsibilities 10 days after being appointed as ministers without portfolio. 


On July 9, 2024, Chief Minister Chetan Narayan Acharya appointed nine ministers without portfolio, including five from the CPN-UML and four from the Nepali Congress. 


Dhanendra Karki from Gulmi has been given the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Saroj Thapa from Pyuthan the Ministry of Urban Development and Drinking Water, and Badshah Kurmi from Banke the Ministry of Forest and Environment.

Similarly, Prachanda Bikram Nyaupane from Dang has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Transport.


The NC is still not able to appoint a minister to one of the ministries allocated for the party. 


From the CPN-UML, Bhumiswar Dhakal from Rupandehi has been assigned the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, Dinesh Panthe from Gulmi the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Management, Khem Saru from Palpa the Ministry of Health, and Sita Sharma Chaudhary from Dang the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation.


Chief Minister Acharya continues to shoulder the responsibilities of the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, and the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens.
