KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Top leaders of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) are meeting Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba today.
While the presidential election is nearing, LSP is going to meet Deuba with the name of a new candidate for president. The LSP has proposed the name of Thakur as a consensus candidate for the post of president as parties are looking for a consensus candidate.

LSP leader Rajendra Mahato informed Republica that the top leaders of LSP are going to meet NC President Deuba, who is also the former Prime Minister, at 9:30 this morning.
Taking the same proposal, the top leader of LSP met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Baluwatar and CPN-UML President KP Sharma Oli in Balkot on Tuesday. Top leaders of major political parties are lately intensifying negotiations for the presidential election scheduled for March 9.
