LPG bullet crushes mother and daughter to death in Dhading

DHADING, Nov 12: A Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) bullet crushed a mother and a daughter to death in Benighat Rorang Municipality-5, of Dhading on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Gita Nepali, 35, and her daughter Sunita, 21 of the same locality. After hitting the duo, the bullet with registration number UP 75 AJ 5208 en route to Kathmandu from Bareilly of India went out of control and plunged some 10 meters below the road at Benighat along the Prithvi Highway. 

Both the mother and daughter were rushed to a nearby hospital where they died in course of treatment. The body of Gita has been kept at Gajuri Primary Health Center while Sunita’s body is at Highway Community Hospital, Malekhu, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dambar BK, chief of District Police Office, Dhading.

Gita, was a ward member of Benighat Rorang-5. The mother and daughter were heading toward Chandrodaya Secondary School to fill the admission form of grade 11. Following the incident, police have arrested Indian national Bhola Kumar, 26, the driver of the bullet.

Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and the fire engine of Nilkantha Municipality are kept standby near the incident site fearing that the bullet might catch fire. Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dhading, Bhagirath Pandey, along with SP Dambar BK inspected the incident site.
