KATHMANDU, August 23: Police have arrested a banda enforcer in Banepa, Kavre.
The driver and co-driver of a bus got hold of a person who pelted stones on the bus in Banepa on Tuesday morning, beat him up and then handed him over to the police.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dhundiraj Neupane of the District Police Office Kavre, while the police were arresting the banda enforcers, they were caught and beaten up by the locals while they were running away after pelting stones at the bus Kavre(Ba 3 KHA 206).
The arrested person is Pal Raut, 24, of Narharinath Municipality, Kalikot. DSP Neupane said that eight other banda enforcers were taken into custody.
