KAVREPALANCHOWK, Jan 22: Traffic along the Banepa-Panauti road section has been halted from today.
Locals said that they were compelled to halt the traffic as they have been facing problems of due to dusty road.
Urging to fulfill the past agreements, they said that such dusty road has made negative impact on health of children and elderly persons.
Executive Officer of Panauti Municipality, Shyam Khadka, shared the information that a meeting is going to be held to resume the traffic.
He blamed the stakeholders of not paying attention to resolve the problem and expressed the belief that an understanding would be reached among locals, tipper entrepreneurs' association and Department of Natural Resources and Mines as the Department of Roads have given assurance to carry out the maintenance of the road from January 26.
