The situation in Tinkune turned tense after demonstrators, who had marched from various parts of the Kathmandu Valley, engaged in unruly activities. A motorcycle in Parisdanda was also damaged during the unrest.
Following the escalation, incidents of stone-pelting and further vandalism were reported.
The pro-monarchy protesters, who were dispersed from Tinkune, vandalized the central office of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Aloknagar and attempted to enter the party office of the CPN (Maoist Center) in Koteshwar.
After their rally and demonstration in Tinkune were disrupted, they moved toward the area. Tensions escalated in the area after the protesters vandalized and set vehicles on fire in Parisdanda.
