KATHMANDU, Jan 19: The election to pick the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), the lower house of the federal parliament, is being held on Thursday.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, lawmaker Devraj Ghimire of the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Ishwari Neupane have filed their candidacies for the post of Speaker.
