‘Lilaram’ amid herds of sheep

POKHARA, Sept 26: The film crew of ‘Lilaram’ went to Baglung’s Dhorpatan to shoot with as many as 1,655 sheep.  The film is based on the history and culture of Dhorpatan. 

According to director of the film, Subash GC, this is the first time that these many sheep are being used in a movie. He added, “We have tried to capture the ancient lifestyle of Buturwang and are working to showcase the authentic culture of the place in the movie. ‘Lilaram’ is a love story.” 

Local actors Mina Khatri, Angel Khanal, Sita Gharti and Kim Shova, among others, are in the lead role. The film will be shot at Taman, Nishi, Adhikari Chour of Baglung, informed GC. Due to high altitude, the film crew is having minor difficulties in shooting. 

The songs for the film are written by Bishwo Devkota, while the music is by Bipin Acharya and Krishna Bhakta Rai. Bimakumari Dura and Krishna have given their voices to the songs. The film is being made at the cost of Rs 1,800,000 and the shoot is expected to complete in 25 days.
