The deceased are 28-year-old Ram Kumar Waiba of Chhatiwan Village Development Committee (VDC)-9 and 65-year-old Lal Bahadur Dimdung of Hetaunda Municipality-11.
Waiba died on the spot after being struck by the thunderbolt whereas Dimdung died while undergoing treatment at the Hetaunda Hospital.
Six other people have been injured in the incident of lightning that occurred at Chhatiwan VDC. They are undergoing treatment at Hetaunda Hospital.
