Light to moderate rain with thunder likely in some places of hilly areas today

KATHMANDU, March 18:  The country is currently experiencing a general influence of local winds along with westerly winds. There has been light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas since morning.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there will be partial to moderate showers across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and wind gusts in some places in the hilly areas of the country and few places in the plains.

Tonight,  there will be partly to partly cloudy skies across the country. There is a chance of rain in a few places in the hilly areas. According to the Department, there is a chance of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in Terai region of Koshi Province, Madhes Province and Bagmati Province.
